Case Study: Burges Salmon keep things confidential

This month, our customer focus is on (drumroll please)… Burges Salmon LLP

Burges Salmon

Burges Salmon LLP is an independent UK law firm and one of the top 50 firms in the country. The firm got in touch with us over three and a half years ago to ask about our confidential waste destruction services. Since then, we have worked together, at both its Bristol HQ and London office, to ensure their confidential waste is disposed of in the most secure way possible. To do so, we have provided both Burges Salmon offices with lockable, wheeled bins and consoles to store the confidential materials safely. On a weekly basis at the Bristol office and fortnightly at London, our staff do a walk around the premises at a specific time in the morning and empty the bins and consoles. To give extra peace of mind, all our staff are security cleared to BS7858: 2012, in line with BSEN15713: 2009. Once the bins have been emptied, we load the materials onto our mobile shredding vehicle and shred them on-site – ready to be returned to our HQ and recycled back into…you guessed it…paper! And guess how many trees Burges Salmon saved last year by disposing of their confidential waste like this? A whopping 697.

In addition, here at Printwaste, we love an ad hoc job to get our teeth into. Working with Burges Salmon for the last few years, we were bound to get one at some point, and they didn’t fail to deliver. After a rebrand, the firm asked us to destroy all of their out-of-date branded materials (such as branded papers and pens). Recently, we also shredded over 500 hard-drives for the company, on-site, using our newest mobile shredding vehicle.

Talking about our partnership, Roscoe Davies, facilities supervisor at Burges Salmon, had these kind words to say:

‘For over three and a half years, Printwaste Recycling & Shredding have provided us with a reliable and comprehensive on-site secure shredding service. In that time, they’ve always worked professionally and efficiently and personnel are security-vetted to a high level, so that confidentiality is assured. Whenever we’ve asked them to help out with additional requests, they’ve done so and nothing is ever too much trouble for them.’
