News

South-West business Printwaste Recycling & Shredding has been appointed as the ‘bring-bank’ contractor for ACE UK, to collect and service beverage carton drop-off points across England, Scotland and Wales.

National Contract win for Printwaste

The company will be servicing recycling centres from The Orkney Islands right down to Devon and the contract is a coup for this family-run business!

Don Robins, Managing Director, Printwaste Recycling & Shredding says “We’re delighted to have been appointed by ACE UK for this project; having worked with them for many years already, we’re pleased to be extending our relationship further. Not only is the contract a great fit for our business, helping to build on our existing relationships with many local authorities, it has also enabled us to expand our recycling capabilities and further our commitment to zero waste to landfill; a great development for us!”

Ace UK (The Alliance of Beverage Cartons and Environment) work with leading manufacturers of beverage cartons including Tetra Pak, Elopack and SIG Combibloc, to drive their environmental initiatives. They have been running the beverage carton bring-back scheme since 2007, supporting local Authorities and waste management companies across the UK.

Commenting on the contract award to Printwaste, Fay Dashper, Senior Recycling Manager at Ace UK said “We have been working with Printwaste on other areas of our business for nearly a decade and have built up an excellent working relationship with the company.  When our existing contractor decided to discontinue this service following changes to its core business model, Printwaste seemed like the obvious choice. We are very pleased to have them on board.”
