Glass Collection and Recycling

A simple, sustainable and cost-effective way to dispose of your glass waste

Glass Recycling for Businesses of All Sizes

Handling glass waste presents unique challenges. It’s heavy, fragile and potentially a health and safety issue when broken. However, when properly managed, glass is one of the most recyclable materials there is.

At Printwaste, we help you manage your glass waste safely while guaranteeing 100% recycling. Our hassle-free glass collections allow your business to recycle mixed glass bottles and jars in a single bin, helping simplify recycling practices while contributing to a circular economy. We accept clear and coloured glass bottles together eliminating the need for sorting and saving you time to focus on running your business.

What we collect

We can collect and recycle a wide range of glass materials, including:

Plate Glass

From bottles to bins: Easy glass recycling that works for you

Before collections begin, our waste experts will assess your glass recycling requirements, determining the correct number and size of containers for your business. We will work with you to strategically place the bins where your glass waste is generated, minimising handling and reducing the risk of breakage. Depending on the volume of glass waste you produce, we offer:

Smaller volumes:

Ideal for pubs, restaurants and hospitality businesses, our easy-to-manoeuvre 240-litre wheeled bins offer a convenient solution for external storage.

Larger volumes:

For hotels, drinks manufacturers and other high-volume producers, we provide robust pallet boxes or larger containers to handle greater capacities efficiently.

For internal use, we have dedicated office bins or stations that are ideal for blending into your office environment.

Flexible Glass Collections That Fit your Operation

We match our collection frequency to how quickly you accumulate glass waste –making sure you only pay for what you need. Depending on your bin type and volume, we offer two services:

Exchange Service:

We take your full bin away and replace it with a clean one.

Empty Service:

Your bin is emptied onsite, ready for you to use again.

Our glass collection service can help reduce your overall waste management costs through effective segregation while increasing your recycling rates, improving safety and supporting compliance.

Frequently asked questions

We can collect most types of untreated glass for recycling, whether it is blue, brown, green or clear, including glass bottles and jars, plate glass and broken glassware.

Unfortunately, we cannot recycle Pyrex baking dishes or heat-resistant ovenware. Also, please don’t put ceramic items into your glass recycling bins.

All the glass waste we collect is sorted by type and colour at our materials recycling facility. Each type is then sent off to be recycled, ready to be manufactured into new glass products.

We aim to make it as easy as possible for you and your team to recycle your unwanted glass. Just rinse off as much liquid or solid waste as possible to reduce contamination during the recycling process.

There is no need to separate by colour. Just place all your recyclable glass in the same container, and we will handle the colour sorting.

No. We work with businesses of all sizes and in all sectors. We will carry out a free waste audit to determine the most suitable containers and collection frequency based on how much glass you need to recycle.
