Wood Recycling
A simple, effective way to free up space on your premises and recycle your wood responsibly.
Wood Recycling that Clears Up Space
Bulky wood waste is a familiar sight in many businesses. Piles of pallets in the yard, off-cuts from production, redundant furniture stacked in corners. It doesn’t take long before your valuable space is taken up. Beyond the clutter, costs rise, health & safety risks grow and productivity often suffers.
At Printwaste, we specialise in helping our customers transform that challenge into an opportunity, using 40+ years of industry experience. By recycling your waste wood responsibly, we free up space on your site, cut your disposal costs and provide a sustainable outlet for your commercial wood waste.

From pallets to pick-up: Keep your yard clear, safe and streamlined
Managing wood waste efficiently starts with having the right setup on site. Our team will work with you to identify where containers are needed most — whether that’s at production points, storage areas or the yard. By keeping materials contained and collections organised, we help maintain a safer, tidier site and make sure your wood waste is recycled responsibly and sustainably.
Loose or Wheeled Bins (240L–1100L)
Perfect for small sites or offices producing small to medium volumes of wood waste like packaging off-cuts or broken crates. Easy to manoeuvre and store.
Cages
Lockable, robust metal containers for regular moderate wood waste. Ideal if you’re producing a steady stream but don’t need a larger container.
Roll-on Roll-off (RoRo) Containers (20–40 yard) or Trailers
Designed for high-volume producers in manufacturing, distribution or construction. These containers handle the largest loads with fewer collections, reducing your transport costs.
We’ll recommend the right option based on your waste audit, ensuring you get a solution that’s practical, cost-effective and space-efficient

Frequently asked questions
Got a question about our wood recycling service? Check out our FAQs below for more information. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please get in touch.
Where is your recycling facility?
We have dedicated materials recovery facilities in Cheltenham and Stoke Orchard, in Gloucestershire.
Why should my business recycle wood?
Recycling your scrap wood supports a more sustainable, circular approach to waste management. It can help reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill, prevent use of virgin wood and produce an energy source through biofuel. Recycling wood also helps lower carbon emissions associated with producing new wood products, because it requires less energy than processing new timber.
What’s the difference between Grade A and Grade C wood?
Our facility sorts recyclable wood into Grade A (clean, untreated and contaminant-free) and Grade C (treated or contaminated).
Grade A wood is shredded into reusable wood chippings for making materials like chipboard, MDF or animal bedding. Grade C wood undergoes specialist treatment to remove any contaminants before it is converted into biomass fuel.
