Commercial Food Waste Collections.
Save on general waste costs, stay compliant with regulations, and avoid unwanted odours with regular food waste collections.
Hygienic, reliable food waste collections that keep you compliant
Food waste is an unavoidable part of most business operations — from canteen scraps and kitchen prep to manufacturing off-cuts and overproduction. Under the new Simpler Recycling regulations, any business with more than 10 full-time employees must now separate food waste from general waste for compliant collection.
Extra segregation doesn’t have to mean higher costs. By diverting food waste away from general waste bins, you reduce the overall weight of your general waste — lowering disposal costs, improving sustainability performance and keeping operations running smoothly.
Our collections make food waste recycling straightforward and sustainable. Using sealed containers and scheduled collections, we help prevent odours and spills — keeping your site clean, compliant and easy to manage.

We can arrange daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly collections, depending on how quickly your food waste bins fill up. ensuring you only pay for the collections you need. Our waste experts will assess your needs during your waste audit and recommend the most suitable food waste storage and collection schedule for your business.
Hygienic rinse and re-line with every collection
Every collection includes a complimentary rinse and re-line to help you maintain the highest standards of bin hygiene. After decanting your food waste into our vehicle, we thoroughly rinse your bin clean with a pressure washer, ensuring no food waste remains caked inside that could cause unpleasant odours.
Once cleaned, your driver will re-line each bin with a 100% compostable bag, before returning it to its position, so you receive a fresh, clean and odourless bin every time.
Maintaining impeccable bin hygiene is essential for a pleasant working environment, which is why we’ve made this comprehensive cleaning process an integral part of every food waste collection.

Frequently asked questions
I don’t produce much food waste. Do I still need a collection?
Yes. From 1st April 2025, businesses with ten or more employees must have a dedicated bin for their food waste under the new Simpler Recycling rules. Affected businesses must also arrange for separate collection of food waste by a licensed waste carrier, like Printwaste. The rules will extend to all companies in 2027. Having a dedicated workplace food bins will help you comply with the new regulations and likely save money on your waste management costs.
What if space is tight for extra bins?
One of our waste experts will visit your site and recommend the best solution for your space. We offer small under-counter caddies for tight spaces, bin stations for office areas and 120L and 240L wheeled bins for busier kitchens or external storage as well as larger-scale operation. Best practice often utilises a blend of both, using the caddies or a bin station for internal disposal and then decant into the wheeled bin outdoors ahead of collection.
How do you help staff adapt to new food waste bins?
We will train your team correctly from day one. Our waste experts will demonstrate the system, explain why it matters, and provide clear bin labels. Most businesses quickly see how separating food waste makes a real difference to both costs and the environment.
How often do you collect food waste?
We will schedule collections based on how much food waste you produce, from weekly to daily, if needed. We can adjust the frequency as you learn your patterns, ensuring your bins never overflow, but you don’t pay for unnecessary collections. Given the nature of food waste, we also recommend regular collections to maintain high hygiene standards. In fact, fresher food waste generates more energy in the anaerobic digestion process.
What happens to the food waste you collect?
Your food waste goes to a local anaerobic digestion plant, where it is turned into renewable energy and farm fertiliser.
What can and cannot go in the food waste bin?
Almost all food waste can go in, including meat, fish, dairy, fruit and veg, bread, plate scrapings and out-of-date products.
The only things to keep out are packaging, liquids and non-food items. We will provide clear guidance and support to help your team get it right.
