Electronics Recycling with Printwaste

Printwaste Recycling & Shredding is a reputable recycling company that fully audit this disposal process, and as there are now so many reports in the national news of illegal dumping and unethical exporting of IT waste, it is now more important than ever to know where your waste is going.

For this reason, the Waste Electricals and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations (2006) became law in July 2007. So it is now illegal for companies to dispose of electronic products as standard waste and that IT equipment must be recycled to a highly governed set of criteria.

Our service

Our uniformed drivers are helpful, polite, and can collect any amount of IT or electrical equipment from anywhere in your office. We have no minimum requirement, but if you are having new IT equipment installed, we will be happy to collect and recycle your cardboard boxes, polystyrene and polythene packaging, and any old or redundant machines.

What does this collection cover?

  • All electrical appliances and equipment
  • Base units (Processors)
  • Batteries
  • Cables
  • CDs
  • Fax machines and photocopiers
  • Fridges and freezers
  • Laptops
  • Mice & keyboards
  • Monitors
  • Printers (Ink jet & laser)
  • Servers & networking equipment

What happens to your IT & WEEE recyclables?

We deliver most non-working or old equipment to a local IT recycler in Gloucestershire, where it is disassembled and the various components are recycled or reused in new machines. If you are worried about the security of your computer hard drives please see our section on security shredding.

Where required, we will complete and supply the hazardous waste consignment notes in accordance with Environment Agency regulations, but if you produce significant quantities of hazardous IT waste (over 500kgs per year), you may need to register as a producer of hazardous waste with the Environment Agency.

This is a simple process that one of our customer service representatives will be happy to take you through, so please call us on 01242 588600 to discuss your requirements.
