The Process

Our team will collect your general waste and transport it to a Waste-to-Energy plant, where it will be prepped for burning.
Once ready, the waste will be put into the furnace and burned at 1000°C. This creates hot flue gases (a source of renewable energy) and a bi-product, incinerator bottom ash (IBA), which can be used in construction.
Energy Generation
Next, the hot flue gases travel through a boiler, heating the water in the boiler pipes. This turns the water into steam and causes a turbine to start moving – which, in turn, generates electricity!
Safe Emissions
To avoid dangerous emissions, the hot flue gases are then cleaned thoroughly and passed through a fine fabric filter to capture any remaining particles. After this, they’re released through the chimney.
Other Bi-products
The bi-product, known as bottom ash, passes along a conveyor to a storage pit. On route, magnets extract ferrous metals from the ash for recycling. The ash then heads to a recycling plant, ready to become aggregate replacement for construction materials.
