Celebration of 25 years of service

News

Earlier this month, we celebrated 25 years of service for one of our team. Frank started working at Printwaste in 1997 on the conveyor belt, sorting materials into its individual containers. He started on a trial for a morning, and he did so well he was offered a job on the spot!  A year later, he switched to a role in confidential waste which he remains in, to this day.

The confidential role that Frank fulfils involves shredding sensitive paper-based material as well as quality controlling the re-use of bags – making sure no material is left in the bags. Frank initially managed this role on his own (due to the service’s infancy) before Printwaste hired more staff to manage the increased material flow through the section.

Frank has also gone above and beyond his role, completing other responsibilities including polystyrene material processing, cleaning the warehouse and working with our collections team to collect waste from customer sites when required.

When asked what he enjoyed most about his role, Frank said “Everyone is so friendly and helpful, I think that comes from being a family business. I love the support that we receive as a team. I get a real buzz from working in the confidential waste section – protecting people’s data, high levels of quality control and knowing that we have done a good job for our customers. I like to be efficient and I’m very particular about getting the bags in the right condition to go back out to customers.”

Frank also enjoys taking responsibility for keeping his section of the warehouse clean and tidy, stating that it helps him to be more efficient in his role.

Thank you Frank for all of your hard work, we really appreciate it!
