This month, our customer focus is on (drumroll please)… Cobalt
For those of you who are unaware of Cobalt, they are a medical charity helping people affected by cancer, dementia and other life-limiting conditions. Every year, in January, Cobalt encourage both businesses and the general public to donate their old Christmas cards to the charity, before working their magic to upcycle these into new greeting cards. They then sell the new cards the next Christmas and, in doing so, raise vital funds (a whopping £30,000 each year) for the work they do.
This is the 7th year we’ve partnered up with Cobalt for this great cause, helping out by delivering card recycling boxes to local businesses, taking away, free of charge, the waste produced from upcycling the cards, and encouraging customers to donate. Donations this year came from Harrison Clark Rickerby’s, Endsleigh, Glatfelter, Randall & Payne, ADEY, Hughes Paddison, Omega Engineering, Kohler Mira and Quattro Design – to name just a few. In total, we collected almost 35,000 cards, so a big thank you to all who donated and took part.
