The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) implementation date – 25th May 2018 – is now upon us, and customers are telling us that preparing for this change is now a priority. While data protection legislation has been around for some time, GDPR will pose new challenges for businesses in the UK and throughout Europe.
The new legislation demands greater openness and transparency from EU businesses and organisations, imposes tighter limits on the use of personal data, and, importantly, gives individuals more powerful rights in respect of how others use and retain their personal data.
