Waste Electrical Equipment – WEEE can help

WEEE

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment or WEEE as it is known (thank goodness for acronyms!) can be anything from old/broken computers to fridges and everything in between.

Waste Electrical Equipment

As disposing of WEEE as general waste is not allowed it is therefore required that a fully compliant route to recycling and treatment is used and this is where Printwaste can help your business.

When it comes to getting rid of this unused equipment, the collection and disposal needs to be carefully considered, as many items such as monitors and fridges are classed as hazardous. Hazardous waste needs to be treated differently to general waste and as a business you have a legal requirement to make sure this happens.

We at Printwaste provide a fully compliant service when managing unused/broken electrical items, from collection to treatment and recycling.

Any Size, Any Quantity, Anywhere

Size and quantity isn’t an issue – we can collect it all, from one computer to a full vehicle load. We can also collect WEEE separately or as part of our office clearance service.

If you have hard drives that contain confidential data, let us know. We can remove these from the PC’s and then securely shred them. We will log the identification serial numbers and provide you with a certificate of destruction for added peace of mind.

Our Service

The unused items you wish to be taken will be collected and removed by one of our recycling operatives from anywhere on your premises for added convenience. All WEEE is disposed of at an authorised WEEE treatment facility where it will be reused, refurbished or recycled. Absolutely no waste will go to landfill.

The Printwaste WEEE service offers an environmentally-friendly solution to disposing of your unused electrical waste and helps to increase your environmental footprint in the process.
